Napa, CA – Make the Museums of Napa Valley Part of Your Visit

The hot summer days are here and tourist season is in full swing in the Napa Valley.

There are so many wonderful things the Valley offers. Of course, we’re known for our world-class wines, but there’s much more to do and see.

Beyond visiting the wineries and taking in the fine dining, consider the museums here. The Napa Valley Museum in Yountville is one of my favorites. It’s a great place to visit to understand the history of the Valley, with exhibits on the land and people. Learn how Napa Valley’s unique geology made this valley’s agricultural and viticulture industries flourish.

Then, you may want to check out The Hess Collection Winery & Art Museum. Part of a historic site where wine was first produced in the 1860’s, the original stone structure is now joined by The Hess Art Collection, a showcase of contemporary art that captures “two passions under one roof.”

Another gem is di Rosa. Located on 217 acres in the Carneros region of Napa Valley, di Rosa houses the foremost collection of contemporary Bay Area art, with nearly 2,000 works by 800 artists. A wide range of styles, media and subject matter provide an overview of the creative energy and freedom to experiment that characterize this region of California.

There’s definitely a connection between art and jewelry. Jewelry is an art form that I use to express my creativity, while the jewelry one wears is an expression of his or her sense of style—like wearable art.

My handcrafted leather jewelry completes any outfit, whether you’re casually strolling through one of Napa’s museums or out for an evening of fine wine and cuisine.

For example, my Jewels of the Vineyard Oakville collection features cuff bracelets, such as this Layered Leather Bracelet, sure to become a go-to piece in your wardrobe. Two lush layers of fine leather with silver and gray enamel beads and a tiny touch of turquoise create a trendy cuff you can wear every day. Visit my online jewelry store for more looks.
